Training objectives:The profession mainly cultivates advanced technical personnel who can adapt to social and economic development and the needs of information technology, and engage in the field of communication and information research, design, manufacturing and operations management required in all sectors of the national economy and defense industries.

Students in their academic years shoud learn the public elementary courses and other specialized courses, such as signal and linear system, communication circuit, electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic waves, digital signal processing, communication system theory, information theory and coding, computer networks, in order to lay a solid theoretical foundation to the professional learning and research. Specialized courses are Telecommunication Network, Mobile, Micro Blogging Communications, Modern Switching Technology, Optical Fiber Communication and so on. In order to expand the students’ knowledge, we open the courses of Satellite Communications, Wireless LAN, Digital Image Processing, Embedded System Design, DSP Principles and Applications, Multimedia Communication Technology and other elective courses, also some series lectures about new technology in Modern Communication.

The graduate can engage in fields of communication and information engineering and do some research and development, design and manufacture, operations management and teaching work about the communication, computer, electronics in some enterprises and institutions or research institutes and universities. The undergraduate also can apply for post-graduate study in the area about Communication and Information System, Electromagnetic and Microwave Technology, Signal and Information Processing, E-science and Technology and other related professions.
